Our primary research interests include green & sustainable applications relevant to:

  • Biomass to Liquid Fuels
  • Engineered Catalytic systems
  • Photocatalysis
  • Size Dependent Catalytic Effects
  • Fuel Cell and Sensor Systems

Research Outline

Our research focuses on advancing the fundamental understanding of atomic scale processes occurring during the synthesis of technologically relevant surfaces, catalysis, thin films, and supperlatice material systems. These include studies of surface and bulk chemical/enzymatic reactions & kinetics, thermodynamic driving forces and quantum phenomena. Special emphasis is given towards sustainable/renewable applications.

Key Words: energy, catalysis, fuel cells, sensors, biomass, surface science, nanomaterials, photocatalysis
